Youth Minister- Amanda Timko

     Amanda Timko is the Director of Youth Ministry and Confirmation at St. Dorothy. Amanda believes that having a strong youth ministry program is essential to helping teenagers grow in their faith and discover where they belong in the church. In addition to her involvement in youth ministry, Amanda has also participated in other ministries at St. Dorothy such as Music Ministry, Altar Serving, Young Adult Ministry, and the Italian Catholic Federation. 

     When Amanda is not at St. Dorothy she enjoys Barbershop Quartet singing with Sweet Adelines International. She also used to skate on a roller derby team and loves baking all kinds of desserts for her friends. Amanda attended school at St. Dorothy, High School at St. Lucy's, and studied music at the University of La Verne.  

     Amanda has been a member of St. Dorothy since 1999 and was very involved with the youth group at St. Dorothy in high school. The experiences she had in high school were pivotal to the development of her Catholic faith and the dedication she has to the Eucharist today. She is deeply excited for the future of youth ministry at St. Dorothy Church.
