Receptionist - Maria Ariza

Maria has been serving the parishioners of St. Dorothy since January 2016.  Before coming to St. Dorothy’s, she was Administrator at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Downey, where she resides, for ten years and worked with Fr. Mark Warnstedt, who had arrived at St. Dorothy’s in July of 2015 having accepted the assignment of Pastor a year earlier before completing his pastorate term at OLPH. When a position opened at St. Dorothy’s towards the end of 2015, he asked Maria if she would consider accepting the position of Parish Office Manager.  After much prayer and discernment, she accepted.  What she found was a most welcoming and unique community filled with much love and devotion to St. Dorothy Church and School.  Prior to her work in the Church, her background was in business for many years in the banking factoring segment handling a portfolio of numerous manufacturing clients.  She has one son and finally became a grandmother last year when he and his wife presented her with a beautiful granddaughter.  She enjoys reading, watching sports and is a huge Dodger fan.
