Associate Pastor- Fr. Daniel Vega

Fr. Daniel Vega was born in Los Angeles and spent most of his life growing up in Covina.  As a young child, Daniel became especially drawn to the arts and began dreaming about working in the animation industry. At the same time, he was also considering a vocation to the priesthood.  Daniel decided first to pursue a creative career. He went to school and graduated from UCLA in 2007 with Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in creative writing. In 2009, he then graduated from the UCLA Animation Workshop where he earned a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television with an emphasis on animation.  Daniel spent several years working in the animation industry, but began discerning the priesthood more seriously.  After answering the call, he left behind his career to study at St. John’s Seminary, where he earned a Masters in Divinity and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies. He was ordained a priest in June 2022.  Fr. Daniel is looking forward to serving the people of St. Dorothy’s.
